We got an awesome video for you all. It is a step by step video on building a saltwater aquarium dosing unit. This is so I can start dosing 2 part in my reef tank. Alkalinity and Calcium. We also prep the magnesium dosing liquid and setting up the kalkwasser part on the dosing head. We are using the Neptune Systems DOS for this project. I am going to hook it up to my Neptune Systems Apex for maximum control. Now I don't want to use the tubing that comes with the DOS because I feel it can kink, and I don't want that happening. So we are customizing the Neptune DOS to be able to handle the RO tubing. I got step by step from converting the dosing head, to routing the tubing, to building the DIY Saltwater Aquarium Dosing Containers, programming the DOS in Apex Fusion. There is a lot to it, but it is all easy work and worth it in the long run. If you haven't seen my video on building my Apex Aquarium Controller Cabinet, I will have a link below. So the DOS units are located in he cabinet right next to the tank which is awesome. So routing the tubing wasnt too bad. What is great about my setup as well is my Aquarium sump from Pro Clear Aquatic Systems (Red Flex Sump) it has 4 dosing ports on it so adding the tubing to the sump was simple and easy.
