Exposition on the Vimalakirti Sutra by Living Buddha Lian-Sheng: • 7/17/2022: Avalokitesvara Homa (Rainbow Temple) • Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple, Redmond, WA, U.S.A. • https://tbsseattle.org/ • Rainbow Temple, North Bend, WA, U.S.A. • https://tbs-rainbow.org/ • A TROVE OF DIVINE WISDOM • A PASSAGE TO ENLIGHTENMENT... • www.tbboyeh.org • World Clock: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ • The followings are sutras for enlightenment, namely, the Diamond Sutra, the Lankavatara Sutra and the Sandhinirmocana Sutra. • When the Tathagata turned the second Dharma Wheel (Dharmachakra), the Maha Pranjapatamita Sutra was the sutra for enlightenment, and at the time of the third Dharmachakra, both Lankavatara Sutra and the Sandhinirmocana Sutra were the sutras for enlightenment. • What, therefore, was enlightenment? You may get a glimpse of it if you try to cultivate from this point onward. Cause the Tathagata said “one who says the Tathagata has any dharma to teach slanders the Buddha”. • Therefore Grand Master Lu says after preaching Dharma for 44 years, those who say the Grand Master has preached Dharma would be slandering Grand Master Sheng-yen Lu. That is to say “not having preached equals having preached”, and thus serves as a good starting point for the search of enlightenment. • There is also another sutra for enlightenment, the Vimalakirti Sutra, delivered by Vimalakirti, the nirmarakaya (reincarnation) of the Kinjalka (the Golden Lotus Filament) Tathagata. • Vimalakirti lived in Shakyamuni Buddha’s time. He had a family, with a wife and two children, but maintained enlightened. He was in fact the reincarnation of the Kinjalka (Golden Lotus Filament ) Tathagata.
