To Lake Tana, where believers gathers on the bank to be baptized with holy water and to the hidden source of the Blue Nile in Ethiopia, from where believers receive what they consider is the most holy of the most holy Blue Nile water. • Scenes from THE NILE QUEST , a TV-documentary in three episodes that tells the fascinating story of the longest, most mythical and politically intriguing river in the world. The film takes the viewer on a voyage through 5000 years of history up the river from the Mediterranean to the sources of the Nile, through deserts, swamps and rainforests, and on my way I talk to presidents and prime ministers and people living on the banks of the great river. • This series unravel the dramatic quest for controlling the Nile and presents new perspectives on the Nile and its important role in current affairs. Produced by Panopticon • See also my book on the Nile on which the TV-series is based: • The Nile. History's Greatest River , for more information, see https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/nile-97....
