Janice Felder, who played basketball at The University of Southern Mississippi from 1990 to 1994, is considered one of the most decorated players in Lady Eagle history. She is USM’s all-time leading scorer with 2,275 points. She went on to play professional basketball overseas before coming back to the states to play in the first women’s professional league. The all-time leader in points and rebounds at USM, Felder fiercely battled her opponents with her teammates by her side. • These days, Felder is battling a fiercer opponent – breast cancer. But, once again, she has a team supporting the plays she’s making to come out on top once again.
