The title (Latin) means it is sweet and right . • Wilfred Owen is recognised as one of the greatest World War One poets. 'Dulce et Decorum Est' is arguably Wilfred Owen's most famous anti-war poem. The line Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori is Latin and translates, 'it is sweet and right to die for your country'.
