Skip to 6:40 for the shooting! • This video was originally shot on 6/16/21 • Since I don't have a huge budget or companies sending me ultra cool rifles to compare and test, I have to work with what I get. Recently my old man asked me to fix up his S W MP 15, so while I had it I figured I'd run some rounds through it alongside my Springfield St. Vic for shits n' giggles. • Ammo being tested here: • Winchester 5.56 M193 55 GR FMJ • IMI 5.56 M855 62 GR Steel-core penetrator (green tips) • Guns being used here: • Springfield St. Victor AR-15 • Smith Wesson M P 15 • Disclaimer: • I am not claiming one rifle is better than the other. This was simply a fun test to see how my new favorite ammo does (IMI) through two different rifles. I threw in the Winchester M193 because I didn't have any IMI M193 rounds. • While the St. Victor obviously has a higher price point than the M P, there are things to like about both of them and in my opinion the M P is a GREAT gun! I had a lot of fun with it. Unfortunately I had to make this video before I put the CMP drop-in trigger in the M P, so there's an unfair advantage (at least for me) since the St. Victor has a much better fire control group from the factory. • Update 6/28/21: • After installing a new CMP drop-in trigger on the S W MP15, I was able to shoot much tighter groups than I did in this particular video.
