We did not start out as car enthusiasts, or gear heads, but working here showed us that vehicle repair can be pretty easy. Most repairs require basic tools and just a little elbow grease. Our tech for today did a great job removing her first headlight and this was only the third vehicle she worked on. If there is anything else you would like to see for this Hyundai Sonata, please let us know in the comments! • TOOLS NEEDED: • You will only need a socket wrench with a 12mm and 10mm socket. • PROCESS: • This is a very simple process, Each headlight is held on or secured by four bolts. You do have to remove the bumper to expose the lower bolt on the bumper retainer, but you could probably get away with just loosening one side enough to fit your socket wrench behind the bumper. We had to remove the entire bumper because it was pretty trash. Also, we are in the process of fixing this car, and depending on when you read this, we have already fixed this car. There are 4 bolts that secure this headlight, 3 are on the top and one is attached to the fender. The top 3 are very easy to get to but the 4th bolt will give you some issues. The bolt passes through the bumper bracket and that will release the headlight. All you have to do now is gently pull the headlight forward to remove it. If your hands are small enough to reach under the headlight, disconnect the wire harness. We had to pull our light out ever so slightly to reach the plug. Press the prongs on each end to loosen the headlight plug. You have no successfully removed your headlight and can repair, replace or swap your lights. Do the same on the opposite side if need be. • Follow Us on: • FB: / revemoto • IG: / revemoto • Twitter: https://twitter.com/revemoto?lang=en • #hyundai #sonata #hyundaisonata #howto #revemoto #paintedautoparts #onlinepaintedparts #revemoto #diyproject • DISCLAIMER: While ReveMoto tries to make the information in this video as accurate as possible, we make no claims, promises, or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of the content.
