Biking Gran Canarias Top Destination Revealed

Over the winter, I was craving some sunshine and a chance to get out on the bike, so I took a trip to Gran Canaria - and it did not disappoint! And the ride up to Soria is one not to be missed - clearly as I don't think I've ever descended past so many cyclists going up a climb! It was pretty much constant! • Our route starts in Maspalomas and heads up to Soria, a 65km round trip. The first 25k is easygoing with undulating gradients, but the last 7K is the kicker with an average of 8% and a max gradient of over 14%. Don't underestimate the climb, but the stunning views and restaurant at the summit make it worth it. For a bigger ride, you can loop around to Sant Bartolome and come back through Santa Lucia. Our bike is performing well, my legs are good, and the weather is perfect for cycling.
