Harry breaks his arm and ends up in hospital in New Zealand. Join our family for three days in this vlog. • We had just driven our camper van from Punakaiki to Hamner Springs when the accident occurred. Harry and Alma were playing in a playground and during an unattended moment Harry hangs in the monkey bars, loses his grip and fall down. Mommy Joanna and daddy Axel hear a scream and see Harry whose arm is off and hangs in a strange angle. • An ambulance take Harry to the local Medical center but after an X-ray, the doctor realizes he can't treat Harrys injury. Another ambulance take Harry to Christchurch Hospital where he’s admitted. • Since we arrive after midnight, they cannot operate directly, so the doctors put on an emergency cast before Harry gets a room at the children's ward. Harry has surgery the next morning surgery, he’s put to sleep with anesthetic drugs, the surgeon pulls his arm right and put on a cast from hand to shoulder. Harry has pain but gets pain relief. The whole family is tired after a long night of sleep. • We stay in the hospital all day and another night, but in the evening we’re allowed to take a walk with Harry in a stroller. • Harry is discharged from hospital the next day and we go to a toy store where Harry is allowed ti choose any toy he wants. The family move into a house we rent in Christchurch, we can't live in the motorhome when Harry's arm is newly cast.
