We share Ned Rig for Walleye fishing tips and techniques in this video shot on Falcon Lake in Manitoba. • Extremely cold water during the May Manitoba fishing opener is the norm on this Whiteshell Provincial Park lake. The schools of smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye that populate this Canadian Shield lake are generally lethargic and slow-moving at this time of year until the water temps rise. Typical spring-time presentations that work well here include jerk baits, drop shot set-ups, and the ever popular Ned Rig for walleye. • We targeted active fish testing waters on the lake's many shallow points, pockets, and docks casting to depths from 1'-9'. Faster plastics and lures were getting short-striked or followed to the boat. Slowing down to a crawl with a 1/8 oz mushroom jig tipped with a Z-Man Finesse TRD or TRD TicklerZ plastic was the key to boating a pile of fat Falcon Lake walleye as well as a handful of bonus northern pike. • #nedrig #falconlakewalleye #walleye #springwalleye • Falcon Lake, MB is on the list of available Humminbird Chart Select maps.
