Our patient came in with a strange, squishy bump called a ganglion cyst. A ganglion cyst is a sac of fluid that forms over joints and tendons. This occurs most often on the wrist and ankles. Inside the cyst is usually thick and sticky jelly-like material. These are very common and sometimes goes away without treatment. If it does become troublesome, it can be drained or removed surgically. While some doctors like to drain the cyst but squeezing, Dr. Freels prefers to aspirate, or drain the cyst with a syringe! • THANKS FOR WATCHING!! • 🔔 Subscribe to our channel: / lexingtonpodiatryfootdoctalk • 👣Learn more about us and foot health on our website: https://lexingtonkypodiatry.com/ • 📷 Check out our Instagram: / footdoctalk • 👍 Like us on Facebook: / lexingtonpodiatry
