People are affected differently by this disorder so some don't have it in their hands, like I do. While I do take meds for it and they help tremendously with the heavy shaking I used to have, it's not a perfect solution. Hopefully, someone read this little tidbit and learned something not just about me, but as a whole. • It's pretty rare, in fact, only 5% of people have it in the USA and only 1% total worldwide. It is a neurologic disorder that can be caused by head injuries or neck/upper spine injuries. ET causes involuntary, rhythmic movements of a body part in motion, usually in the hands and arms. However, it can also affect the head, voice, chin, trunk, and legs. • Mine started in my mid 20's and has just gotten worse over time with aging. Eventually I will have to stop playing BR's when the medication can't control it anymore.
