In this video I show you how to re-design the top sheet of your snowboard. This is a design without a film edit but instead a paint edit. I show you how to protect the design just like you would with a film or vinyl of some sort. If it's a new or old snowboard most snowboards will still have that film feel to it and there's a number of ways to go about taking that film off. The way we took was to sand it down so you're able to feel the original wood texture. The paint may not stick with the film existent on it because it's used to protect against the snow and water. • We took the sanding route because it's basically like starting a fresh board to work with or starting from scratch. • After you sand it down, you can prime the base as you would with painting most things and begin your design. The clear coat is the essential part because you want to make sure the board is protected. If you don't have enough clearcoat you can go ahead with the film. • List of Materials: • Primer: https://www.amazon.com/Zinsser-Bulls-... • Clearcoat: https://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-327... • Scraper: https://www.amazon.com/Putty-Knife-HE... • Sandpaper: https://www.amazon.com/3M-03021-Wetor... • • Spraypaint: https://www.amazon.com/Montana-Comple... • People In This Video: • / channel • / @drsteeleable • • Subscribe to DrSteele: / @drsteeleable
