CrockPot Beef Stroganoff Simple Weeknight Dinner Albertsons

This Beef Stroganoff dish can easily be transformed from dinner to appetizer! Add the stroganoff to sour dough toast for a filling and flavorful appetizer, perfect for game day! • INGREDIENTS • 2 1/2 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into 1 inch cubes • 1/2 cup dry red wine (broth can be substituted for the wine) • 1 1/2 cups sour cream • 1 lb mushrooms, cut in half • 1 large onion, diced • 5 cloves garlic, minced • 3 Tbs all-purpose flour • 1 tsp dried thyme • 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt • 1 tsp black pepper • DIRECTIONS • 1. To a crockpot, add onion, mushrooms, beef, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper and wine. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. • 2. Stir beef mixture and remove 1/4 cup broth. Whisk flour into broth and stir into crockpot. Turn crockpot temperature to high and cook for 10-15 minutes. • 3. Add sour cream and mix well.
