Roatan Honduras Cruise Port Royal Caribbean - Self Guided Walking Tour. We had an unforgettable experience visiting Roatan while on the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas Cruise Ship. Our adventure started at the Roatan Honduras Cruise Port, where we explored the local shops and picked up a few souvenirs. Afterward, we began our Roatan Honduras Self Guided Walking Tour along the waterfront. Along the way, we encountered a group of local boys swimming and enjoying the day. They were so friendly and welcoming that we stopped to chat and even took a photo with them. • As we were getting ready to continue exploring, one of the boys’ neighbors, Teddy Bustio, approached us and offered to give us a personal Roatan tour. Teddy was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating details about the city's history and daily life. He told us how much the Roatan economy relies on Honduras tourism, with many families barely making enough to cover basic costs like electricity. He showed us the first public school and church built in Roatan Honduras, and it was clear how much pride he took in his community. • We were so grateful for his time and left him a tip, wishing him continued success. After our time with Teddy, we walked around the city and stumbled upon a group of children playing in the streets.
