Foodie Sally reveals her top tips on make bread and butter pudding • Subscribe to the Sainsbury's channel: • / sainsburys • Visit our website -- www.sainsburys.co.uk/livewellforless • Or have your say: • / sainsburys • / sainsburys • Ingredients • 75g unsalted English Butter by Sainsbury's • 10 slices soft white bread • 50g golden raisins by Sainsbury's • 400ml milk by Sainsbury's • 100ml double cream by Sainsbury's • 2 large British free-range Woodland egg by Sainsbury's, beaten • 25g Fairtrade caster sugar plus 2tbsp for sprinkling • 2tsp Madagascan vanilla extract • ½ tsp freshly grated nutmeg • ½ tsp ground cinnamon by Sainsbury's • Method • 1. Butter the bread slices and then cut each slice into triangles. • 2. Arrange the triangles in a buttered ovenproof baking dish and scatter the fruit over and between the bread. • 3. In a bowl, whisk together the milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla and spices. • 4. Pour over the bread, making sure the slices are soaked. Leave to stand for 20 minutes. • 5. Preheat the oven to 180º C, fan 160ºC, gas 4. Sprinkle the surface with the remaining sugar and bake for 35 minutes. • 6. Serve with cream or custard.
