#shorts • Queen Alexandra's birdwing is the world's largest butterfly. Females are bigger than males, reaching a wingspan of up to 11 inches. These butterflies are found in the rainforests of eastern Papua New Guinea. They can lay up to 240 eggs in its life time which is usually about 3 months long. Unfortunately due to habitat loss in the region this butterfly is listed as endangered
