Ignition Exchange Resource Perspective SVG Animation

This resource is a demonstration of how to manipulate SVG properties with bindings and scripts in order to create animations. Following these examples, a user could create an SVG representation of a complex piece of equipment in their facility and have it animate dynamically, to give users a better idea of what is happening within the process. • The basic example shows how to move a circle around on the screen, as well as changing the size and color of the circle. • The intermediate example uses some more complex expression bindings to draw a line connecting the center of the canvas and the center of the circle, which follows the circle wherever it goes. Additionally, this view has the ability to have an automatic movement, and the circle will rotate around the center point following a path that can be changed while running with the sliders. • The advanced example uses the lessons of movement and rotation and combines them into a manipulatable robot arm, which has 4 positions that it automatically moves between with a smooth motion.
