Subscribe our channel for more interesting recipes : https://www.youtube.com/c/FOODVILLABY... • Hello and Welcome to Food Villa By Mamta Manisha. • Learn How to make RAGDA PATTICE at home from Manisha Raghani. • Pattice which is a shallow fried potato cutlet is served with a spicy white pea curry and garnished with chutneys, cilantro and sev! • Do try this flavourful, tangy and spicy chaat recipe and let us know your feedback in the comments section. • Happy Cooking! • Follow us on : •   / foodvillaa   •   / foodvillabymamtamanisha   • • Ingredients • Servings-6-8 patties • To boil white peas • 1 bowl of white peas soaked overnight • little salt • little baking soda • drinking water • To prepare Ragda • 1 tsp red chilli powder • ½ tsp rock salt • 1 tsp cumin powder • ½ tsp garam masala • 1 tsp amchur powder • little salt • 1/4th tsp chaat masala • 1/4th tsp haldi powder • Drinking water • 1 tbsp oil • 1 tsp sugar • ½ tsp jeera/cumin seeds • little asafoetida • 2 whole red chillies • 5-6 whole black pepper • 1 tsbsp ginger,garlic and green chilli paste • 1 tsp tamarind pulp • Few fine chopped coriander leaves • To prepare patties • 3 boiled and mashed potatoes • 1 tsp fine chopped green chillies • Little chopped coriander leaves • Salt according to taste • Little chaat masala • ½ tsp red chilli powder • ½ tsp amchur powder • ½ bowl bread crumbs • 1 tbsp cornflour • Ghee for shallow frying • For garnishing • Fine chopped onion • Few chopped coriander leaves • Jaggery tamarind chutney • sev • mint coriander chutney- recipe link-    • Green Yogurt Chutney/Vrat wali dhania...   • चटपटी रगडा पेटिस ,चटपटीत रगडा पॅटीस , Mumbai street food ragda pattice, Mumbai style ragda recipe • METHOD • Step 1 : Boiling the white peas • a) Soak dried white peas (white matar) overnight in 4-5 cups water. • b) In the morning, drain the water and transfer the soaked peas to pressure cooker. • c) Pressure cook with little salt and very little baking soda for 2 whistles on high heat. Let the pressure release on its own. Do not throw away the water. • Step 2 : Preparing the Masala paste • a) To prepare the masala paste for ragda, in a bowl add 1 tsp red chilli powder,½ tsp rock salt,1 tsp cumin powder,½ tsp garam masala,1 tsp amchur powder, little salt,1/4th tsp chaat masala, 1/4th tsp haldi powder. Give these masalas a nice mix. Now add ½ bowl of water to this, mix well to form a smooth paste. Masala paste is ready. • How to make ragda • Step 3 : Ragda Preparation • a) Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add 1 tsp sugar. Stir continuously on medium flame so that the sugar melts completely. • b) Once the sugar melts completely and turns golden brown, put off the flame.Add ½ tsp jeera,little asafoetida,2 whole red chillies,5-6 whole black pepper.1 tbsp ginger, garlic and green chilli paste.Give everything a nice mix. • c) Add the masala paste (step 2 ) to this. Now put on the flame. Cook this masala on high flame until it leaves the sides of the pan. • d) Add the boiled white peas along with the water. Stir well. Mash some of the peas with the help of a spatula. • e) Add 1 tsp tamarind pulp, few fine chopped coriander leaves. Give everything a nice mix. Cover with a lid and let it simmer for 5-7 min. • Ragda is now ready. Set it aside. • Step 4 : Pattice Preparation • a) Take 3 boiled and mashed potatoes in a dish. To this add 1 tsp fine chopped green chillies,little chopped coriander leaves, salt, little chaat masala,½ tsp red chilli powder,½ tsp amchur powder,½ bowl bread crumbs,1 tbsp corn flour.Mix all the ingredients very well to form a smooth dough. • b) Now grease your palm with oil/ghee.Take small portion of the dough and make circular shape patties. Adjust the thickness and shape of the patties. • c) Similarly prepare other patties. • d) Now heat 2 tsp ghee or oil in a pan. • e) Once ghee/oil is hot, place the prepared patties onto the pan.Cook until the patties are golden brown and crisp from both sides,5 to 6 minutes each side. • f) Press the patties with the help of spatula to adjust the thickness to make them crispy. • Crispy patties are now ready.Put off the flame. • Step 5 : To serve Ragda Patties • To serve Ragda Patties place patties on a plate and then top with ragda. • Garnish them with some fine chopped onion, few chopped coriander leaves, jaggery tamarind chutney, little mint coriander chutney and finally some sev. • • Chaat recipe,chaat recipes indian,chaat recipe street food,chaat recipe nisha madhulika,street food recipes,street food,Ragda patties recipe in guarati,ragda patties recipe in Marathi,ragda patties recipe by ruche bharani • • #ragdapatties#ragdapattice#foodvillabymamtaandmanisha
