Canon 50mm f18 vs 50mm f14 Is it worth the extra money

In this video I’ll be answering a question I get asked all the time – should you get the more expensive canon 50mm f1.4 lens or go for the cheaper f1.8 prime lens? We went to the beach to put the lenses head to head in a series of tests to see the real difference between the quality of the shots. We tested for sharpness, colour, contrast, depth of field, chromic aberration and the bokeh effect to find out if the f1.4 is really worth the extra money, or if the 50mm f1.8 STM, the so-called nifty 50, does the job just as well.
