The atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere are the abiotic components of the ecosystem. • Two types of biogeochemical cycles found in ecosystem. • 1. Gaseous cycle: Reservoir in the atmosphere (air). These cycles involve the exchange of elements between the atmosphere and living organisms. N, C, O, H cycle. • 2. Sedimentary cycle: Reservoir in the earth’s crust. These cycles involve the movement of elements between the lithosphere and living organisms. P, S, Ca cycle.
