Dental overbite is not caused by having too many upper teeth, or having too big an upper jaw. In a simple procedure lasting about 1 hour, distractors are placed to the lower jaw, enabling home 3D-growth (under medical supervision by the surgeon) of the mandible over 10-14 days.
