But it is critical. Dull blades can cause burning, sticking, crooked cuts and a high risk of kickback. It's very important to have sharp blades, and the appropriate blades, depending on what sort of cut you're making. I actually try to keep a few dedicated blades, especially for finer work. But I always keep around 1-2 spares old junk blades for when I'm cutting dirty old boards, or ones that may contain nails or other debris. • This saw is mounted on a Ridgid stand. This gives us the ability to fold up the saw and roll it out of the way very easily. Working in a tight wood shop (garage), it's critical for us to be able to store tools out of the way.
