This Saronite Ore farming guide shows you the best routes and zones for mining Saronite Ore in World of Warcraft: Sholazar Basin, Icecrown, and Wintergrasp. There's no mining pick boosters like in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor, but we'll manage. You will get a lot of Crystalized Shadow and Crystalized Fire, so it might be a good idea to have a Triple Reinforced Mining Bag for extended sessions. • 1 hour Looted Item Value: 3k-15k • Sholazar Basin • This zone is beautiful and diverse. The best way to farm Saronite Ore in Sholazar is to loop around the outside of the map and then do a ring around each pillar before heading back to the edge. Expect high competition here. • Map: / 302726406183832623 • Average Ore Per Hour - 41 • Icecrown • Not as much competition as there used to be, but there are a few people flying around here and there. I stay away from ICC itself because some of the nodes are actually inside the instance itself or inside the castle and it's just a hassle to get down there. Just follow the inner and outer mountain ranges (similar to Deepholm) and make a few detours where recommended. • Map: / 302726406183832614 • Average Ore per hour - 59 • Wintergrasp • Best by far if no one else is in the zone. Also, go elsewhere if the battle for Wintergrasp in going on. You can't fly and it's simply not worth it when you can get almost the same results from Icecrown right over the mountain ridge. I tried to keep the route simple but there are a few tricks you can pull. For instance, every other lap or so, head past the zone's NW edge (head straight north of the lake) and you'll be able to get a few nodes that are almost always up on the snowbank in Icecrown.
