Do not attempt to repeat the experiments shown in this video! • Hello everyone, in this video I will show you an unusual experiment involving paraffin. • For that we will need a large tube that’s attached to a holder and a paraffin candle. • To begin, let’s take a random tool to chop the candle with it, I went for an ax (hardcore style). • After that fill the tube with pieces of paraffin. • And then light the burner and heat the test tube containing paraffin.. • Over time, paraffin melts and begins to boil. Once paraffin is at its maximum boiling point, lower the test tube into a bucket of cold water. • Once that is done paraffin rushes out right away from the tube and lights up. So how does this happen? • When a hot test tube makes a contact with cold water, the bottom of the tube cracks. Water penetrates the cracks and then instantly vaporizes by the heat of paraffin. • Then the forming steam pushes paraffin out of the tube which in its turn mixes with air and ignites.
