I opened up my app and noticed the latest feature from YouTube called “shorts.“ This is a TikTok competitor, and will most likely be the place that TicTok-ers go once the app is banned in the United States. • YouTube Shorts is similar to TikTok, a feed of very short videos perfect for scrolling, sharing and mimicking. YouTube Shorts will live in the YouTube mobile app, giving creators access to YouTube's huge library of licensed music and soundtracks. YouTube shorts is vertical content (9:16 aspect ratio) where videos are curated based upon the YouTube algorithm.
