Dry ageing beef removes moisture and increase tenderness and creates an umami flavour that is delicious and takes your steaks to another level πŸ‘Œ • The next time you’re buying meat, check out how expensive dry aged beef can be πŸ’°This is due to the process but it really isn’t so hard to do at home. Here’s how we dry age our meatπŸ‘‡πŸ½ • πŸ‘‰πŸ½Use good quality beef (we used a scotch fillet log). • πŸ‘‰πŸ½Vacuum seal it in special dry age vacuum seal bags, follow instructions on the bag (you cannot use normal vacuum seal bags). • πŸ‘‰πŸ½Place the beef in the fridge for 40 days. the longer the beef ages, the tastier it gets. • It depends on how big your log is, at this point, you can cook up the steaks and enjoy with family and friends or slice up and vacuum seal individually (highly recommend) and freeze ❄️ or do both πŸ‘πŸ‘ • A crust is formed around the beef when it’s dry ageing, remember to remove it before cooking the steaks.
