She was born on 2 December 1960 in Kovvali village, Denduluru Mandal, Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, India. Silk Smitha was born in an economically weak Telugu family. Silk Smitha was the daughter of Ramallu and Sarasamma. She had a younger brother named V. Naga Vara Prasad. • Smitha’s parents married her off at a very young age. However, she was unhappy with the treatment that her husband and in-laws gave her, so, she ran away from their home. • Later, there were rumours about an affair between Rajinikanth and Silk Smitha.
