Police Video Shows Why Jim Rogers Family Received 8 Million Dollars • Lawyers for Jim Rogers’ family release body cam video of repeated Taser use by officer. • The camera shows Officer Keith Edmonds talking with Jim Rogers, who was experiencing homelessness at the time, about the report. After asking for identification and questioning Rogers for some time, Edmonds tries to put Rogers in handcuffs. • In the video, Rogers can be seen trying to grab something from his pocket despite the officer telling him to keep his hands up, at which point Edmonds takes Rogers to the ground in an effort to handcuff him. • Eventually, officers handcuffed Rogers and put him into the back of a patrol vehicle, where, according to an internal report obtained, Rogers asked for help at least 13 times.
