In this video, we take to the range and talk about the history of the Colt 9mm SMG series. Based on the original XM177 carbine and more recently the M4, the Colt family of 9mms has been on the market since 1985. • We begin with the R635 SMG, and its civilian semi-only counterpart; the LE6450 carbine. • Next we take a look at the so-called 'briefcase' gun, the R633 used most famously by the Department Of Energy (DOE). Here we have an original Colt upper with 7 barrel, on a LAR9 lower made by Rock River. • Finally, we wrap things up with Colt's current production carbine model, the AR6951.
