Hakodate (函館) is Hokkaido's third largest city. Every year, there is a Christmas event (http://www.hakodatexmas.com/) near Hakodate's Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse with fireworks display at 6pm daily. • I finally got to witness it this year and it was amazing although there wasnt any snow that night.
