Chinese Muslims Celebrate Eid AlAdha

Millions of Muslims across China celebrated Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, on Wednesday. • Early in the morning, Muslims in northwest China's Gansu Province, Xinjiang Uygur and Ningxia Hui autonomous regions attended mosques to pray. • After prayers, they returned home to slaughter lambs that would be cooked and served to their families and guests. • In the Xinjiang city of Yining officers and soldiers prepared traditional delicacies and fruit for Muslim residents. • The Chinese Islamic Association also held an event in Beijing to mark Eid al-Adha.
