Their lives intersect in the epic tale of Ramayan. Ansuya is the greatest of all sati's who gained immense respect and power with her selfless deed and devotion to humanity. When Sita and Ram visited her during their exile she had the privilege of preaching Sita and also passed the tests put forward by Lord Vishnu, Shankar and Brahma. Lord Shankar's wife Uma refused to believe that Rama was an incarnation of God Vishnu and she decided to put him to test. She approached him as Sita, but to her dismay, Rama addressed her as Mother and Uma acknowledged her mistake. What follows is the classic story of Ramayan involving abduction of Sita by Ravan, Ram's battle in Lanka, 'agni pariksha' of Sita, the birth of Lava-Kush and their Battle with their father Ram.
