Italian Sausage 1 lb ground beef • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes 14 oz can diced tomatoes (chili ready if you like) • 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 tsp. salt • 1 chili seasoning packet or 1 1/2 tsp. cumin and 1-2 tsp. chili powder • 1 each: 15 oz can chili beans 15 oz can garbanzo beans 15 oz can black beans • 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tsp oregano leaves ( or 1/2 tsp dried oregano) • 1/2 cup Heinz chili sauce • If sausage in casing, remove casing. Brown sausage, ground beef, and onion. • Drain. In slow cooker or Dutch oven, combine browned meat and all the other ingredients. If using slow cooker, cook on low for about four hours. If using Dutch oven, cook on low setting for two or three hours.
