The game comes with a 16-square playing board and 24 playing gobblets, 12 white and 12 black, in four sizes. Players stack their gobblets into three stacks of four with the largest gobblet on the outside. Then, take turns placing either a new gobblet on the board, moving one of their gobblets that's already on the board, or gobbling up any smaller size gobblet on the board with a bigger one. There are a few rules to remember, though. Any time you play gobblets from one of your stacks, you must play them in the order they appear, from biggest to smallest. You can move any of your gobblets on the board whether they're covering a smaller gobblet or not. But, if you uncover one of your opponent's pieces, and this move reveals a line of four of your opponent's pieces, you lose unless you can place your gobblet over a different piece in that line of four. Play continues until one player makes a row of four or a draw is declared.
