On World Elephant Day, we bring you a video about a recent study that reveals a whole new origin story for Borneo's pygmy elephants. For years, researchers believed pygmy elephants were introduced to Borneo by humans. But new evidence suggests these small elephants may have made their way to the island all on their own around 11,000 to 18,000 years ago, when Borneo was connected to a larger land mass.
