Cool magazine has voted him as Brazil's number 1 DJ three times and he has also received support from the likes of Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli, Nick Curly, Jimpster and Paul Woolford whilst earning residencies at two of Brazil's most reputable underground clubs; D-Edge and Warung. Last year saw him release his six track EP 'Need U' on Raw Cutz Records and team up with Andre Torquato to deliver a full length album on Yoruba Records titled 'Torquato Boghosian' which have all been fundamental in enforcing his reputation as a linchpin of the South American house scene. The Brazilian is known for the essence of spirituality in his productions and this release is no exception. 'La Palabra' possesses earthy foundations which are enforced by the combination of African percussion along with samples of the poignant vocals belonging to famous Cuban singer-songwriter Carlos Varela. Alternatively 'Esta Vida' continues the vibe whilst adding a subtle layering of ambient sounds over some lively drum work and a looped sample of chanting to complete. Together these tracks demonstrate the poetic synthesis between both world music and deep house and are an illustration of the Brazilian's signature ability to craft a fusion of old, new and various cultural conventions into something artistic and original.
