(30 Sep 2020) HOW PLEMONS, DUNST MISSED SON'S FIRST STEPS • Husband and wife Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst accidentally missed their son's first steps while treating themselves to an overdue vacation. • Plemons, who is starring in Charlie Kaufmann's I'm Thinking of Ending Things, says their road trip to Inverness in northern California was their first real breakafter their son's birth in May 2018. • It was just so beautiful and we were so happy and of course, that was when our son decided to take his first steps, the first trip that we took when we were gone, he said recently while promoting the film, which follows a young couple (Plemons and Jessie Buckley) who go on a road trip to meet his parents (Toni Collette and David Thewlis). • He and Dunst were shooting a movie together in New Zealand when the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns hit, forcing them to quarantine there with their now two-year-old son Ennis. • We stayed for a month, flew back and then at that time they had eliminated the virus. Then we flew back and then we finished and flew back home so I'm OK at the moment being home, he said. I know a lot of people are just like, 'Get me out of my house.' But at the moment, it feels really good to just be in one place. • The pair was filming Jane Campion's Power of The Dog, in which they play a couple whose secret wedding angers a family member. • • Find out more about AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/HowWeWork • Twitter: / ap_archive • Facebook: / aparchives • Instagram: / apnews • • • You can license this story through AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/metadata/you...
