The theme for Pacific Rim is one of the best parts of the movie, utilizing Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine to it's fullest extent. A theme that's associated with the main theme is something Djawadi notes as the Adventure Theme on the recording sessions. It's a reflective and somber melody played on guitar, which usually gets bolstered up by percussion and strings. It's included in the suite because it includes the main theme at different intervals of the melody, making it heavily tied to the main motif. The main theme is iconic and easily recognizable, a six note motif driven on hard, cutting guitars and synths, with a full orchestra backing it up and adding more weight and power to it.
