In 2013, Casandra and Paul Carson, who had been writing and performing music for a year together, decided to form a full band to perform and record with. They enlisted local songwriter/musician, Nick Gray, on drums, and longtime musical co-conspirator of Paul’s, Joshua Pool, on bass. Soon after, the band received immediate acclaim at their debut performances at the 2013 Ozark Empire Fair. Since then, the project has gone into overdrive, and has become one of Southwest Missouri’s most sought after original rock acts. 2014 has seen the release of Paralandra's debut album, Rise Up, and within a month of it's release, a reorder was necessary to meet sales demand. The band is fresh off of opening for the national rock bands, Fuel, Hinder, and Art of Dying, being nominated for Best Original Band in the Best of 417 Magazine 2014, nominated for Best Musical Performance of 2014 on the late night television show, The Mystery Hour, nominated for Best Performance of 2014 from Ozarks Local LIVE Lifestyle Show by KOZL, KOLR, and CBS television networks, as well as being #1 on the 2014 Reverbnation rock charts. • Paralandra is looking to book new venues, while looking forward to entertaining new audiences with their compelling blend of high energy, hard hitting melodic rock, and performance oriented stage show. Paralandra is known for their original music, and aspires to create an intentional and orchestrated show , rather than a simple offering of random songs.
