Why I love the Jane Iredale mineral powders. I use both the. Amazing Base and the Pressed base as mineral sunblock. I cannot use liquids or creams so these work great for me. • Be sure to use a good brush to get even and uniform coverage. • Also be sure to use it with a wide brimmed tightly woven hat. • *I realize that the suggested minimum SPF is a 30. I have yet to find one that suits my skin like these do. So I use these and a wide brimmed hat I tend to stay out of the sun during peak times. But if I can't, these and a big hat do the trick. I also do not have very fair skin so if you do you will want to fond what suits you best. • I do not like super dense brushes. I prefer something with a little more flexibility. See the description box on my other video about mineral powder/sunblock for a list of brushes that I love. •    • Mineral powder application. Mineral s...   • Some good non dimethicone options; Lily Lolo, Pure Anada, Mineral Silk, Heresy Cosmetics (etsy), Borne Cosmetics (etsy), MAD Minerals, Just Pure Minerals, Bellapierre (look for sales or ebay), Inika (they have sales), Bellaterra (ebay or 50% off main site sales), Itay (amazon or Avivabeauty.com). Most have samples (except Bellapierre and Bellaterra). Formulas with Titanium dioxide and Zinc listed first on the ingredient list will offer more SPF. Also, the heavier formulas like Pure Anada Heresy Cosmetics full coverage option will have more SPF. • This is the one I get for Itay Mineral foundation and kabuki; • https://www.amazon.com/Bundle-Items-Minera... • I have used samples from many other brands. These are the ones I ended up choosing to buy full sizes of. • Some other good options; Simple Beauty Minerals, Bare Faced Minerals, Root, Youngblood (only if your skin tolerates bismuth oxychloride -can be very irritating for many people; and really love that glow!). Ebay has the Youngblood for almost 50% off sometimes. Remember that simple ingredient pure mineral powders do not go bad if unopened so shelf life isn't a worry. • I sampled Alima Pure back in the day along with many other brands. Compared to others, they were more expensive (gram for gram, more expensive than Inika!) and then at some point, they raised their prices and DECREASED the amount of mineral powder. Not happening. I won't support them since now they are seriously overpriced, especially when there are other good options available for much cheaper. • Bang for your buck: • Lily Lolo 10g • Pure Anada 10g • Heresy Cosmetics 10g • MAD Minerals -roughly 10g • Borne Cosmetics -roughly 10g • *Jane Iredale also has 10g of product. (Amazing Base 10.5g and Pressed base 9.9g)
