As Russian ground forces advance through the Baltics, NATO prepares a high-risk operation with no way out. The Next World War is a documentary series that takes a terrifying and realistic look at a hypothetical Third World War scenario. • Commentary from the author: my original plan was to have episode 7 be the entire NATO landing. But what I found in writing the script was that in order to give the plan context and depth, the script chewed up the entire allocated time, which I try to keep to around 6-ish minutes so that I can put out one these episodes each month (each takes about 60 hours or so). So I understand if some were hoping to leap right into the action this episode. So was I, originally! But with this episode done, I can now focus on JUST the invasion the next couple of episodes.
