GMC Terrian Equinox Denali Engine Sputtering Dying Rough Idle How to Fix

We are fixing a sputtering dying rough idle engine on a 2012 gmc terrain 2.4l 4 cylinder engine. I started by removing the MAF sensor a cleaning it. Then I pulling the spark plugs to see what they looked like. They were grey suggesting we were running lean. Brown is perfect, black is an engine running rich. I then removed the intake manifold to get at the fuel rail to remove the injectors.
