Overlanding road trip and review of Olifants Rest camp in the central part of the Kruger National Park, one of the few camps that's located on high ground. Overlooking the Olifants River, the camp doesn't have traditional camping, but over 50 chalets of varying quality make it quite a large rest camp. • There's a decent, although not wonderful restaurant, well stocked shop, laundry and very pleasant swimming pool. An excellent way place to cool off after a long day's game viewing in the Kruger Park on your overlanding travels. • Speaking of game viewing, it's not the absolute best part of the park for encountering the big 5. But having said that, the name olifant , is Afrikaans for elephant, and there are plenty of them around. • SANParks: https://www.sanparks.org/parks/kruger... • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ • Subscribe: / @kangela • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ • Live each day as if it’s your last, because someday it will be! ~ Muhammad Ali • I'm Chris, wildlife nature lover, photographer and videographer, living an outdoor lifestyle and making the most of each every day and new experience.
