Ricoh GR III 1st Impressions and Comparisons

To GR or not to GR, that is the question. For many photographers a camera without a viewfinder is not a ‘real’ camera. For those naysayers, the new GR III is not for you. However, for those who have been bitten by the GR bug, or for those who are considering entering the world of compact APS-C point-and-shoots, the new GR is a very interesting camera. It has no viewfinder but has a competent touch screen LCD screen. It also doesn’t have a built in flash, a staple feature of any point-and-shoot, but you do get a fully functional hot shoe to attach an external flash unit or other accessories. The most interesting feature is having IBIS (In Body Stabilization) in such a compact camera with a large sensor. • Although this is not my first shooting impressions, I will go over all the major features, the pros, cons, my wish list, as well as comparisons to other cameras in the same category. This is a long video so if you’re looking for a quick rundown of all it’s major features, this video isn't it. This video is for the GR purists and nerds.
