IELTS A1 Life Skills, Spouse Visa test UKVI is compulsory for candidates who have their spouses( husband/ wife) in the UK and they are permanent residents of the United Kingdom. • A1 Life Skills has two modules only, 'SPEAKING' and 'LISTENING. No Reading and Writing (Good news). • Total time of the IELTS A1 Life Skills Speaking and Listening Test is 16- 18 minutes. • Speaking for 12-14 minutes and Listening for remaining 4 minutes. • There are two candidates in this test, Candidate A and Candidate B. • The IELTS A1 Speaking Test consists of 3 phases/ sections. • Phase 1a : interview (4-5 minutes) • Phase 1b: Questions (5 minutes) • Phase 2b: Discussion ( 3-4 minutes) • There are 40 -50 important Topics for Speaking, if the candidate prepares throughly, success is guaranteed 100 %. • These topics are; • 1.
