After an exhausting 18-hour ferry ride from Jambi to Batam, I finally set foot on land, completely worn out and in desperate need of a place to stay. We docked at 8 AM, and with check-in times usually starting at 2 PM, I made my way to a local coffee shop to search for budget-friendly accommodation in Batam City. • Just as I hopped into a taxi, the skies opened up, and I was greeted with heavy rain. Taking shelter in the coffee shop for a couple of hours, I scrolled through options until I found the perfect spot—a £15 a night apartment. • After two days of non-stop travel, I treated myself to some much-needed rest in a surprisingly luxurious high-rise apartment. It was far beyond what I expected for the price, and I ended up taking the entire day off for some well-deserved relaxation. Sometimes, you just have to take a break! • #Batamcity #Batam #Indonesia • I am an older backpacker travelling the world proving that backpacking is not just for the younger generation. • If you would like to support my adventures: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/army057D • Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram/olderbackpacker22 • If you enjoyed this video, please like, comment and subscribe to the channel.
