https://goodandgeeky.com • In this video I show you how to select all text in a text app on your iPad. Here are a couple of tricks for selecting single words in a text application on the iPad. There are more tips on how to select text in application whether it be a free text app or the Apple Pages application. You can double tap on a word to select just the word. • If on that second tab of the double you hold down and continue you can extend your selection. In some applications it is possible to do a triple tap and select the whole paragraph. Selecting the whole paragraph was easy in Pages but the triple tap didn't work when I was trying to do the same thing in textastic. in that application it is also easier to select text when using the floating text selection tool. You can select whether you want to extend your selection at the beginning or at the end. You then just hit one of the arrow keys to go in the direction you have chosen. You can also do this to choose one at a time by going up or down. • Now you know how to select all text in your iPad text application. It is also possible to delete larger selections of text, once the text is selected you just hit the backspace key. Or you could just start typing and what you have selected will be replaced with your new text.
