Paul Burns created Fireclay Tile in 1986. Its tiles are made from recycled and locally sourced materials, and every day an average of 300 tiles are painted by hand and 4,500 square feet of clay are extruded. It's a benefit corporation dedicated to sustainable manufacturing practices and using recycled materials. The clay is mixed and extruded, cut, and glazed. From there, any designs are hand painted. Each tile is touched by seven pairs of hands before being shipped out. • For more, visit: • https://www.fireclaytile.com/ •   / fireclaytile   •   / 18136825432123806   • https://www.fireclaytile.com/sustaina... • MORE ART VIDEOS: • How A Shoemaker Is Crafting Victorian Footwear In Modern Day LA •    • How A Shoemaker Is Crafting Victorian...   • How A Goldsmith Creates A 14-Karat Gold Cuban Link Chain •    • How A Goldsmith Creates A 14-Karat Go...   • How Vintage Leather Furniture Is Professionally Restored | Refurbished •    • How Vintage Leather Furniture Is Prof...   • ------------------------------------------------------ • #Clay #Tiles #ArtInsider • Insider is great journalism about what passionate people actually want to know.
