Mount Kisco Fire Department Engine 104, Engine 105, Engine 103, Utility 13, Tower Ladder 14, Rescue 31, Rescue 15, and Utility 228, along with Westchester Emergency Medical Services 45-Medic-1, and Bedford Hills Fire Department Car 2033, Car 2031, NEW Car 2032, and Rescue 10 (F.A.S.T.) responding to a 2nd alarm structure fire with victims on Brandon Drive in Mount Kisco, New York. A complete rundown of the units that responded is listed below. The Mount Kisco Fire Department was originally dispatched for a reported structure fire. Car 2282 was first to arrive and reported fire showing through the roof and requested the 10-75 (working fire assignment), bringing in several mutual aid assets. He also reported a person unconscious in the front yard and requested EMS to expedite. Immediately after, he reported some type of explosion, possibly a propane tank, and requested the 2nd alarm, bringing in additional mutual aid. Car 2281 arrived on scene and updated that there was an adult male patient with severe burns and requested to start out a medevac helicopter. LifeNet Air 2 was launched and the Millwood Fire Department was dispatched to set up a landing zone at the nearby Gedney Park in their fire district. Air 2 was ultimately cancelled, as it was determined to be faster to transport the patient by ground, and all Millwood units responding to the landing zone went back into service. The patient was transported ALS to Westchester Medical Center by Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps Ambulance 54B2 with 45-Medic-1 and 45-Medic-3 on board. A second patient with burns was also transported ALS to Westchester Medical Center by Westchester Emergency Medical Services Ambulance 40A5. Additional ALS and BLS EMS resources were requested to the scene for standby and rehab. Much later into the incident, a firefighter who suffered a back injury was transported BLS to Northern Westchester Hospital by Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps Ambulance 70B2. The fire was knocked down and companies began opening up and hitting hot spots. The incident was placed under control after roughly 2 hours. Car 2032 was placed into service in late April, 2020. • Complete rundown of the units that responded: • Mount Kisco Fire Department - Car 2281, Car 2282, Car 2283, Engine 103, Engine 104, Engine 105, Tower Ladder 14, Rescue 15, Rescue 31, Utility 13, Utility 228 • Bedford Hills Fire Department - Car 2031, Car 2032, Car 2033, Rescue 10 (F.A.S.T.) • Chappaqua Fire Department - Car 2061, Car 2062, Car 2063, Engine 146 • Millwood Fire Department - Car 2251, Engine 247 • Pleasantville Fire Department - Car 2373, Tower Ladder 5 • Yorktown Heights Fire Department - Car 2531, Rescue 16 (F.A.S.T.) • Briarcliff Manor Fire Department - Car 2051, Car 2052, Rescue 37 (Cascade Unit) • Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps - Ambulance 54B1, Ambulance 54B2 • Westchester Emergency Medical Services - 45-Medic-1, 45-Medic-3, Ambulance 40A5 • Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps - Car 7011, Ambulance 70B2 • Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps - Ambulance 74A1 • Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps - Ambulance 76B1 (Rehab Unit) • Westchester County Department of Emergency Services - County Car 4, County Car 8, County Car 25, Battalion 16, EMS 11, 1405 (Cause Origin Zone 5) • Responded to Gedney Park to establish a landing zone (cancelled): • Millwood Fire Department - Car 2252, Engine 248 • Relocated to Mount Kisco FD Station 2 (Mutual Engine Hose Company #1): • Katonah Fire Department - Car 2211, Engine 116 • Ossining Fire Department - Car 2334, Tower Ladder 42 • Video of Ossining FD units relocating: • Ossining FD Car 2334 Tower Ladder 4... • The units seen responding are: • Engine 104 - 2007 Pierce Lance 2000 (1750GPM/750GWT/30GFT) • Engine 105 - 2013 Seagrave Marauder II (2000GPM/750GWT) • Engine 103 - 1993 Pierce Lance II (1750GPM/750GWT/30GFT) • 45-Medic-1 - Ford Expedition • Car 2033 - 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe • Car 2031 - 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe • Car 2032 - 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe • Utility 13 - 1998 Ford/PL Custom • Tower Ladder 14 - 2010 Sutphen Monarch (100FT MM) • Rescue 31 - 2005 Ford F550/EVI • Rescue 15 - 1999 HME/Rescue 1 • Rescue 10 - 2018 Seagrave Marauder II • Utility 228 - 2010 Chevrolet Suburban • This video was taken on October 5th, 2020. • Follow me on social media: • Facebook - / lowhudemergency • Instagram - / lowhudemergency • Fire Apparatus Photography: • https://www.lowhudemergency.com/
